KVPY Scholarships 2019- Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) offers attractive KVPY fellowships (Rs. 4000 to Rs. 7000 p.m.) and contingency grants (equivalent of four months fellowships per annum) to students studying in XI standard to 1 year of BSc/ BS/Int MSc/ MS selection to the program takes into account academic excellence and demonstrated skill to take up research career in Basic Sciences. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2019 will be held on the first Sunday of November 2019. The online application forms will be issued in the month of July 2019. Selection of the eligible students will be made on the basis of their KVPY 2019 and interview scores. Check the basic details of KVPY Scholarship here-

KVPY 2019 Important Dates

Fellowship: Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2019

KVPY Eligibility:

Basic Sciences
Stream SA: Students enrolled in the XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2019-20 and have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination.
Students promoted through both the Summative Assessments-II conducted by the school and conducted by the Board are eligible to apply if they satisfy the eligibility criteria. If the students have obtained a letter grade in the qualifying examination, they are requested to convert it into an appropriate % and fill-up the application form.

Stream SA - Mentoring Scheme: Eligibility same as above and the students need not apply separately for the Mentoring Scheme.
A Mentoring list over and above the regular merit list will be prepared. The students under the mentorship list will not be eligible for any fellowship. Their fellowship will be activated when these students enrol in an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./Int.M.Sc./M.S.) after their XII Standard/(+2).
During the mentoring period of one year, they will be invited for Summer Programme/ Vijyoshi Camp and their travel and other related expenses will be met by KVPY.
Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII Standard/ (+2) (Science subjects) during the academic year 2019-20 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./Int. M.Sc./M.S.) for the session 2020-21 provided they have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination.
Stream SB: Students enrolled in the 1st year of B. Sc./B.S./Int. M.Sc./M.S. during the academic year 2019-20 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination.
Empowerment initiative for SC/ST students in the KVPY Fellowship Program:
A number of additional fellowships (up to 100) exclusively for the meritorious SC/ST students under the various stated above will be operated. A special orientation program for the selected SC/ST students will be organized.

Selection Procedure

Aptitude Test: After scrutiny of applications forms, based on the performance in the Board Examination, all the eligible students will be called for a written aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centers across the country on Sunday, the November 3, 2019. The details of the venue of the aptitude test for the eligible students and their seat number will be published in the KVPY website during the first week of July 2019.

KVPY Admit Card

  • Students who have applied online may download the admit card for the aptitude test from the website from the second week of October 2012.
  • For students who have applied with a hard copy, admit card will be sent by speed post.

Interview: Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students will be invited for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.

How to apply for KVPY 2019?

IISc will release the online forms for KVPY Scholarship in the first week of July 2019. Students should check the above eligibility and submit their KVPY application forms till the last date.

what is kvpy and SCB in IISER exam

IISER Admission process shall be weighted on 3 phases - SCB (State and Central Boards Channel), KVPY exam (Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) & JEE Advanced exam . Students are free to register for all the 3 exams but they should be fulfilling the eligibility criteria of each exam they are registering.

when the result of kvpyc will out

Kvpy results has not been declared yet but yes IISc Bangalore will declare the KVPY 2019 result in the second week of December 2019 at kvpy.iisc.ernet.in but exact dates are not clear yet. You need to enter your application number and date of birth to check the result of KVPY 2019. The details of students, qualifying status, scores obtained by them will be mentioned on the KVPY result 2019. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2019 was held on November 3, 2019. If you manage to qualify the KVPY aptitude test 2019 then you will be eligible for interviews, to be held in the 2nd week of January 2020. how many student appeared in KVPY 2019

Yes I'll give you a mere idea. So nearly around 50 thousand students appeared for the Kishore Vaigyanik Protasahan Yojana SA stream. Out of which nearly 1-1.5 thousand students are selected. Numbers of the students vary each year so as the cutoffs are the cutoff depend on various factors like number of candidates appearing and also the paper level, etc.

when will the result of KVPY stream SA 2019 be announced?

Greetings!

Actually exact dates has not been declared yet but it is expected that the result of KVPY 2019 will be declared in the 2nd week of December 2019. You will have to enter your hall ticket number to access the result. If you manage to obtain the cutoff marks then you will be called for the Interview. After the interviews, final merit list will be released.
