SA Stream - Students enrolled in class 11 in the Science stream. They must have scored an aggregate of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in Maths and science in the class 10 exam.
SX Stream- Students enrolled in class 12 students in the Science stream with aggregate 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in Maths and science class 10 exam.
SB Stream - Those students who have taken admission in 1st year of any undergraduate course in basic science with aggregate 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in Maths and science in class 12th exams.

KVPY Syllabus 2020 FAQs
Q.30. What is the syllabus for the KVPY exam?
A- There is no prescribed syllabus for the KVPY exam. Students can cover the KVPY syllabus of their respective classes to prepare for the KVPY exam.
Q.31. Are all four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics compulsory to attempt?
Ans: Students appearing in KVPY exam from SA stream, have to attempt all 4 subjects. However, students of SX/SB stream have to opt for either Maths or Biology.
Q.32. What is the marking scheme in KVPY SA exam?
A. In part I, the total number of questions will be 60, 15 questions from each section. 1 mark will be allotted for the correct answer and -0.25 will be deducted for every wrong attempt. Total marks for part 1 will be 60.
In part II, total 20 questions will be asked, 5 questions from each section. Each question will carry 2 marks and 0.5 marks will be deducted for wrong answers. Part II will carry 40 marks.

No, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat does not accept KVPY score for admission to Integrated Physics course. The admission is solely based on rank secured in JEE Main. The admission in to the institute is done through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA)/ Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) counselling. The seat is allotted based on the rank of the candidate, category of the candidate, preferences of choice, seat availability and cut off rank. Yes you can apply for it. there is no restrictions for kvpy sx exam that you need to give exam in pcm format, the questions pattern of the streams SB and SX , there will be four sections in Part I (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) and four sections in Part II (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics)
