JBCN International School, Parel, student of IGCSE 2, Ishaan Jaju, recently participated and placed second in the "French Poster Making Competition" at the ‘Francophone Nomad’, a French International Competition in Quebec. The Orchid International School in Malad hosted the event. 23 international schools of Mumbai took part in the competition. Ishaan was appreciated by Preeti Bhutani, president of Prayatna Educational Society, and Francis Paradis, director of the Quebec Government Office in Mumbai.

As part of JBCN International School theme, 'Habitats', Junior Kg. Scientists and Engineers participated in a 'EduCreative' session with Whiz Labs. They participated in the blubber experiment to learn how the creatures in the Polar Habitat can survive below-freezing conditions, and they did so while learning about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). They investigated the marine fauna by diving three layers below the surface. Additionally, students learned about how climate change affects global temperature variations as well as how oil spills contaminate our waterways and what can be done to stop them.
