Bishop Cotton School Students Wins Himachal State Football Tournament

Bishop Cotton School Under-14 football team recently participated in Himachal State Football Tournament at Solan and emerged victorious by defeating the other team by a score of 2-1. Students Kabir and Yash were the final goal scorers and made Bishop Cotton School proud. Yash was also awarded ‘Top Goal Scorer Of The Tournament’ trophy. Staff and management of the school commended the efforts of the students and congratulated them for winning and bringing laurels to the school.

Bishop Cotton School (BCS) is a boys' school affiliated with the Indian School Certificate Examination Council (CISCE). The school was founded in 1859 by Bishop George Edward Lynch Cotton, and it is located in the Shimla Hills. Bishop Cotton School (BSC) has a long history that goes back more than 150 years. It is one of the oldest boys' boarding schools in all of Asia and one of the first ‘public schools’ in India. Bishop Cotton School, Shimla Events

Hope Foundation Event was recently held at Bishop Cotton School (BCS), Shimla, for the cancer patients of the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC). Junior high school boys composed prayers and songs of adoration for the cancer patients for a multi-faith ceremony that was held in Hindi and English. Additionally, the students organised a mini-festival with a variety of games in which the patients could take part and win prizes. Sarbjeet Singh Bobby, who oversees Roti Bank for the impoverished in the city of Shimla, proposed the idea for the school to have a Hope Foundation Event that would cheer up those with cancer.
