    Unable to Achieve Passing Marks? Know What to do

    Candidates who are unable to obtain or pass the Karnataka PUC examination 2026 will have the opportunity to appear for the exams again. The PUC board of Karnataka conducts the exams in three phases.

    The first phase of the PUC exam is conducted in March, the second in June, and the third phase of the examination in August. So, students who did not achieve or pass the Karnataka PUC 1 exam can appear in the PUC 2 and PUC 3 exams.

    • Out of 70 marks: Students need to score a minimum of 24 marks to pass the theory exam.
    • Out of 80 marks: Students need to score a minimum of 28 marks to pass the theory exam.
    • Out of 100 marks: Students need to score a minimum of 35 marks overall in each subject. This applies to subjects that have only a theory paper or the total of theory and practical marks.
    • Minimum passing marks in 2nd PUC Science: For Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), which have both theory and practical exams, you need to score a minimum of 35% overall. This means scoring at least 24 marks out of 70 in theory and at least 11 marks out of 30 in the practical exam. For Mathematics, which has no practical exam, students need to score at least 35 marks out of 100.
