To apply for admission to Class 6, candidates must complete the JMI online registration process available on the official JMI website, www.jmicoe.in.
The process begins with creating a profile by entering basic details such as a valid email ID and mobile number.
Once registered, applicants can log in to fill out the entrance application form, select the desired class, and pay the application fee of INR 500 using online payment methods such as credit/debit cards or net banking.
It is crucial to double-check the details before final submission, as no corrections are allowed after fee payment. Upon successful submission, applicants receive a registration number and password via email, which can be used to track the application status.
Jamia Millia Islamia School emphasises a transparent and systematic admission process. The written test for Class 6 is held exclusively in Delhi and assesses students' proficiency in core subjects which includes EVS, English and Mathematics.
Candidates must achieve at least 33% marks in the JMI Class 6 entrance exam admission test to qualify for admission.
The final JMI Class 6 merit list 2025 is prepared strictly based on test performance.
Applicants should retain a hard copy of the registration slip and ensure all required documents are submitted during the admission process.
Note: As a minority institution, JMI reserves seats for specific categories, including Muslim candidates, women, and differently-abled students. Admission is contingent on document verification and adherence to the school’s rules.

Note: in the case of foreign passport holders proof of age, a copy of valid passport and visa (if already issued) and the marksheet of the last examination passed along with the certificate of conversion of GPA into a percentage are also required.
The syllabus of Jamia Millia Islamia School entrance test for admissions to Class 6 is · based on CBSE Syllabus of Class 5. The Jamia Millia Islamia entrance test examination for Class 6 admissions will be tentatively scheduled in the last week of March 2025.
The admit card for the JMI Class 6 entrance test will be generated online and can be downloaded from the official portal at www.jmicoe.in.
Candidates unable to download their Jamia Millia Islamia entrance test admit card due to technical issues should report to the test centre two hours before the test with their acknowledgement slip to obtain a duplicate.

Muslims: 30% of the total seats in each course are reserved for Muslim applicants.
Muslim Women: 10% of the total seats in each course are reserved for Muslim women applicants.
Muslim OBC and Muslim Scheduled Tribes: 10% of the total seats in each course are reserved for applicants belonging to Muslim Other Backward Classes (OBC) or Scheduled Tribes, as per the Central Government’s notified list.
Differently-abled Persons: 5% of seats in all courses are reserved for differently-abled applicants in accordance with the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights, and Full Participation) Act 1995.
Kashmiri Migrants: Up to 5% of total seats in the program are reserved for Kashmiri migrants. Applicants must undergo the complete admission process and provide a certificate from the Divisional Commissioner of the relevant State/Union Territory. No domicile certificate is required.
Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir: Up to 2 seats in each class and stream are reserved for applicants from Jammu & Kashmir. A state domicile certificate must be submitted during admission.
The test duration for the JMI Class VI admission entrance test is of two hours.
Students have to ensure that the OMR sheet is submitted to the invigilator before exiting the examination hall.
Test booklets are not subject to re-checking or re-evaluation. There is no negative marking in the admission test.
The use of calculators is strictly prohibited during the test.
Written test for JMI Class VI admission will be available in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
All documents, including the age certificate and academic qualification certificate, will be verified at the time of admission and may be rechecked later. If discrepancies are identified at any stage, the admission will be revoked.
Self-attested passport-sized photographs must be affixed to the admission form.
