Students who have completed the INSPIRE scholarship application form 2025-26 can compare their marks with the INSPIRE Scholarship cutoff 2025–26 to estimate their chances of selection. They can use the following formula to calculate their percentage of marks:
Percentage of Marks = (Total Marks Obtained / Maximum Marks) × 100
For example, if a student secures 490 marks out of 500, the percentage will be calculated as:
=(490/500)*100
=(0.98)*100
=98%

The board-wise quota is the number of seats allotted to each education board, calculated as the number of valid applications from a board divided by the total valid applications, multiplied by 10,000.
The INSPIRE Scholarship cut-off marks vary as per the state/board. The cut-off marks are the same for all category students.
There might be several reasons for this. Meeting the INSPIRE Scholarship 2025–26 cutoff does not guarantee selection. Final selection depends on merit, seat availability, document verification and other factors.
The top 1% of meritorious Class 12th students of any state or central education board and top 10,000 in the JEE or NEET exam are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
