KVPY 2014 Eligibility Criteria - The Eligibility Criteria of KVPY have been announced for the Aptitude Test to be held Nov 2, 2014. KVPY 2014 Eligibility Criteria are listed in three broad categories - Stream SA, Stream SX and Stream SB.

 

This National level fellowship/scholarship programme - KVPY - aims at attracting motivated students across country to pursue research career and basic science education.

 

The Basic Science courses under which students must take admission into are, B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bio informatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science.

The Eligibility Criteria for KVPY 2014, applicable only to Indian National is divided under three categories, which are:

Stream SA: As per this category, students who are in class XI Science stream, have 80% aggregate in Mathematics and Science in class X boards are eligible under this category. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, 70% aggregate marks in Maths and Science are required to be eligible for KVPY 2014 fellowship/scholarship programme.

 

If a student fulfils this basic eligibility, he/she is monitored for a year until class XII. Once a student scores a minimum of 60% marks in the class XII science stream and takes admission into the undergraduate programme in the mentioned Basic Life science courses, the fellowship/scholarship gets activated.

 

In the monitoring or the mentoring period of one year, student has to attend Regional and National camps conducted by KVPY.

 

Stream SX: Students of class XII science stream, who have scored minimum of 60 %marks in XII boards and 80% in class X boards, are eligible for KVPY 2014 fellowship/scholarship. The fellowship will be activated whenthe student would take admission in the above mentioned courses of Basic Life sciences in their undergraduate studies. The relaxation for SC/ST/PWD candidates is 50% in class XII boards and 70% in X class boards.

 

The same KVPY 2014 Eligibility Criteria is applicable to Indian students in their second year of study in Cambridge International Examination Board who aspire to join undergraduate programme in the Basic Sciences subjects that are mentioned above.

 

Stream SB: Under this category, students who are in the first year of their undergraduate study in the mentioned course of Basic Life sciences are Eligible for the KVPY 2014. Students must have a score of minimum 60% marks in class XII science stream and first year of final examination. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, a minimum of 50% is required at +2 level and first year examination.

KVPY is a national fellowship/scholarship programme in Basic Sciences, conducted by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The KVPY fellowship/scholarship programme aims at attracting motivated students across country to pursue research career and basic science education.

 

Students of class X and XII of both government and public schools are eligible for KVPY 2014 scholarships. Only Indian Nationals who wish to pursue their education in India in various undergraduate courses are eligible for the KVPY fellowships/scholarships.

The expected cutoff of KVPY SX 2020 is 45-55%(general category), 35-45%( SC/ST category).

IISER Admission process shall be weighted on 3 phases - SCB (State and Central Boards Channel), KVPY exam (Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) & JEE Advanced exam . Students are free to register for all the 3 exams but they should be fulfilling the eligibility criteria of each exam they are registering.

when the result of kvpyc will out

Kvpy results has not been declared yet but yes IISc Bangalore will declare the KVPY 2019 result in the second week of December 2019 at kvpy.iisc.ernet.in but exact dates are not clear yet. You need to enter your application number and date of birth to check the result of KVPY 2019. The details of students, qualifying status, scores obtained by them will be mentioned on the KVPY result 2019. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2019 was held on November 3, 2019. If you manage to qualify the KVPY aptitude test 2019 then you will be eligible for interviews, to be held in the 2nd week of January 2020.
