Young Researchers for Social Impact Program 2023 - Young Researchers for Social Impact (YRSI) is initiated by Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC). This social impact program provides the students with an opportunity to work on research projects. During the Young Researchers for Social Impact program 2023, students will work with YLAC’s partner organizations. Students who are interested in finding new solutions for social issues using their analytical skills can join this YRSI Program.
Young Researchers for Social Impact program 2023 is scheduled to run twice this year. The first edition is expected to be held in June 2023. The second edition of Young Researchers for Social Impact is scheduled to begin in July 2023. Applications for the YRSI program 2023 are being filled online.
The final deadline for the edition 1 application is expected in April 2023, while that for edition 2 would be May 2023. The online sessions for Young Researchers for Social Impact program 2023 are held on the weekends and mentor check-in sessions with students. This program will be organized twice in summer of 2023. Here are the dates of both editions:

Students who are interested to apply for young researchers social impact program will have to fulfil the given criteria:
He/she must be studying in a class from Class 9 to 12.
The age of a student should not be more than 18 years.
Students who are promoted in 9th class and students who appeared for 12th class exams in this year can also apply for young researchers for the social impact program 2023.
In this program, students are assigned a project to work on with YLAC partnered organizations. The project will include social issues in fields such as global health and governance, environment, education, women and child rights, gender, etc. The Young Researchers for Social Impact program 2023 is structured into four sections as given below:
Skills & Learning sessions with a duration of 3-4 per week. During this, students attend a learning session to get new skills.
Team meetings and project work: In this, YLAC mentors guide students to complete their project so that they can learn new things.
Mid-week check-ins are mandatory for a student and YLAC mentor to ensure that the project is going in the right direction.
Individual work: Apart from online sessions, students will have to spend some time on individual research and writing work.
Each student will have to spend around 20 hours per week which includes 6-7 hours per week for online sessions and 10-12 hours per week for individual research.
Students who fulfil all the eligibility conditions can apply for this social impact program 2023. They will have to fill an online application form. While filling YRSI application form 2023, they will have to choose the preferred edition as per their preference. Here are the steps to fill Young Researchers for Social Impact application form 2023:

Now, choose the preferred edition, enter personal details, contact details and education details in section-I of the application form.
Then, proceed to Section-II and answer the questions as asked.
Now, enter the academic interests and achievements of the students in section-III.
After this, upload the final report card or mark sheet of the previous examinations and other documents as required.
Click on the button that says ‘Submit Application’ to submit the form.
The fees for the YRSI Program is Rs 20000 only.
Along with this, students will have to pay 18% extra for GST changes.
YRSI program fees can be paid only after the student has been selected for the program.
YLAC provides need and merit-based scholarships for this program.
The minimum amount of YRSI scholarship 2023 is 25% of YRSI fees. Some students can be provided with a 100% amount of total program fees.
Students need to provide additional details in the scholarship form to apply for the YRSI 2023 scholarship program.
YLAC will offer scholarships up to 6 students per edition.

YLAC will select up to 50 talented students for Young Researchers for Social Impact program 2023.
The students are selected in the Young Researchers for Social Impact program based on their answers filled in the YRSI application form 2023.
Young Researchers for Social Impact is an online program which is held through video conferences.
After getting selected, students will need a mobile/ computer and a strong internet connection to attend online sessions.
Yes, it is necessary for all participants to attend all the online sessions in order to achieve a certificate. They can take leave for one day during the entire Young Researchers for Social Impact program 2023.
After the completion of Young Researchers for Social Impact program 2023, students will be provided with a graded certificate by YLAC. Student’s projects will be mentioned in this certificate.
