Ans: The place values of these 5 digits that make up the number 12400 are as follows.

In other words, 12400 is written as "Twelve thousand four hundred" since it equals 12000 and 4 hundreds.
Ans: Even numbers are those that divide exactly by two without producing a remainder. Even numbers include 2, 6, 10, 20, and 50 as examples.
Similarly, on dividing 12400 by two it results in the answer without remainder. It is clear that it is an even number as a result.
