Males can ejaculate 1-3 ml of semen. One ml of semen contains 100 billion sperm.
Human ejaculation is known as semen.
Sperms are male gametes that are formed in testicles.
The testicles contain numerous seminiferous tubules where sperm are made.
Sperms are divided into three parts: the head, which includes the nucleus.
The neck is also known as the middle part, and the tail provides mobility for them.
The tail consists of mitochondria, which provide them energy to move.
More than a thousand sperm are made every day, and they stay in seminiferous tubules for some time, where they get nutrition for their growth and survival.
Testicles are located outside the body in a sac-like structure whose temperature is 2–2.5 °C less than body temperature so that sperm can be produced.
Sperm travel to the Epididymis from the seminiferous tubules, mature there, and then pass through the urinary bladder via the vas deferens, where the vas deferens combines with the ureter to form the urethra.
The Vas deferens is a long, tube-like structure that helps in the transportation of sperm from the epididymis to the urethra.
In the urethra, secretion of seminal vesicles and the prostate gland gets mixed with sperm, and then it's called semen.
The secretion from seminal vesicles contains fructose, calcium, and other nutrients that provide sperm nutrients.
And prostate gland secretion gives sperm a milky texture.
Then semen travels through the urethra and finally ejaculates through the penis opening.
This is known as insemination or ejaculation. The sperm count of semen during ejaculation helps in determining the reproductive health of males.
3 ml is the average amount of semen released during ejaculation.
If a man ejaculates 2 ml of semen, that means the semen contains 200 million sperms, and if a man ejaculates 3 ml of semen, it contains 300 million sperms.
