A Line contains an infinite number of points. Here the concept of how many points a line contains is the topic that needs to be explained by the properties of a line to give the exact answer so one must read the article completely. A line is a straight path that has one moving point. It has length but not width. It is a kind of geometric figure. In a line, there are an endless number of points. Here is the question asked: how many points does a line contain so before answering you should know what is a point.
A point represents an exact location or a place on a plane. It is usually represented by a dot and named with a capital letter. For example, point A is denoted as A.
Example: The tip of a pushpin can be taken as a point. But, in reality, a point is smaller than the tip of a pin.
A line is a continuous collection of points that forms a straight path. It can extend to both directions. A line has no starting point and no end point. That is, it has no end. The representation of a line is

If point A and point B are two points on a line, then it is written as AB. It is represented as AB.

Example: When we stand on plain ground, the line at which the Earth's surface meets the sky appears to be never-ending.
In simple terms, a line segment is the shortest straight path that joins any two points on the plane. A line segment has a definite length that can be measured.
Here you come to know about a line segment that extends endlessly in one direction is called a ray.
It's represented by AB. This indicates that the line segment extends in the direction from A to B. Point A is called the initial point at one endpoint of ray AB.
Here the line can be called straight or curved. As in geometry, the word line means a straight line. A curved line is called a curve. The edge of a circle is not straight; it is an example of a curve. A curve has been normalised in modern mathematics. In simple words, a curve is the image of an interval to a topological space by a continuous function. These curves are called topological curves to distinguish them from more constrained curves such as differentiable curves.
Lines can get their names from any two points on the lines. For example, if the line contains two distinction points A and B then it is named as the line AB or line BA.
Lines are also named with just one symbol. In which case a letter 'l' might be used.
Parallel: If two lines are parallel and they are on the same plane and they never touch. Two parallel lines are always at the same distance from each other.
Concurrent: Two lines are concurrent if they pass through the same unique point. They are called to be intersecting at that point. And, hence it is called the point of intersection.
Skew: In euclidean space, if two lines are skewed they are neither parallel nor intersecting but they never touch. Skew lines lie in different planes, while parallel or intersecting lines lie in the same plane.
So, Now you know about the properties of the line and how many points a line has. Hope you can understand the basics and concepts.
