A gap is a break in studies. It may drop after Class 12 for medical or engineering coaching, or may be a break in between your degree for a semester to stay away from board schedule. Or the gap can be due to health issues or may be working for a year and continuing studies. Does this gap in studies actually matter in the career or affects placements at colleges? The answer is NO!. There are a few companies that do follow a “no gap in studies” as an eligibility criterion. However, there are an equal or more number of organisations that look at the candidate’s skill rather than a gap in education. To have a gap in education is not a big issue but how you utilise the gap year matters.
