The multiplication table is something which we are learning since the very beginning of our elementary education. In this article, we are going to learn table of 24. We need to learn some basic and common multiplication for easy and fast calculation. Multiplication is just a product of two numbers and a multiplication table is a set of such products in an ordered format, for quick recalling.
Multiplication tables play a very important role for primary class students, as they deal with more arithmetic calculations. However, it is needed by everyone who deals with any kind of calculations or mathematical calculations in their work. It is used by students to professionals and even unskilled workers. As we know, basic mathematics is a need of every human being to survive in this world and multiplication tables are a part of this. Generally, we are taught a multiplication table in which we multiply the number from 1 to 10 for general purposes, we can take the table further as if needed.
Table 24 is useful for various calculations in competitive exams. Learning this table helps a student to solve the problem in less time and with full confidence. We don’t need to solve by multiplication method instead, we will use it directly. This will save time which you can use for other complex problems.
24 is a two-digit even number which is needed for various mathematical problems. So, it is recommended to learn the tables of 2-digit numbers at least up to 25 for quick problem-solving. By learning multiplication tables we get connected with numbers and start finding different ways for doing the problem.
Given below is a table of 24 up to 20 times by both addition and product method:
24 × 1 = 24 = 24 |
24 × 2 = 48 = 24 + 24 |
24 × 3 = 72 = 24 + 24 + 24 |
24 × 4 = 96 = 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 |
24 × 5 = 120 = 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 |
24 × 6 = 144 = 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 |
24 × 7 = 168 = 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 |
24 × 8 = 192 = 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 |
24 × 9 = 216 = 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 |
24 × 10 = 240 = 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 + 24 |
Given below is a table of 24 up to 20 times:
24 × 1 = 24 |
24 × 2 = 48 |
24 × 3 = 72 |
24 × 4 = 96 |
24 × 5 = 120 |
24 × 6 = 144 |
24 × 7 = 168 |
24 × 8 = 192 |
24 × 9 = 216 |
24 × 10 = 240 |
24 × 11 = 264 |
24 × 12 = 288 |
24 × 13 = 312 |
24 × 14 = 336 |
24 × 15 = 360 |
24 × 16 = 384 |
24 × 17 = 408 |
24 × 18 = 432 |
24 × 19 = 456 |
24 × 20 = 480 |

Calculate 24 × 7 and add 12 to the product.
Ans. As we know, from the table of 24 that 24 × 7 = 168
So, we just need to add 12 to 168
i.e., 168 + 12 = 180
\begin{array}{l}
24 \times 7=168 \
168+12=180
\end{array}
Hence, 180 is the answer to this question.
Illustration 2
Calculate how many rupees we have to pay to the shopkeeper if we buy 24 pens for 8 rupees each.
Ans. Given no. of pens = 24
1 pen = 8 rupees
Then, we need to calculate the product for finding how much we have to pay for pens.
According to table 24,
24 \times 8=192
So, we need to pay 192 rupees for the pens.
Illustration 3
How many total bananas are there in 12 bunches of 24 bananas each?
Ans. Given 12 bunches of bananas
1 bunch = 24 bananas
To find the total number of bananas,
We need to calculate the product of 12 and 24.
According to table of 24, 24 × 12 = 288
So, the total number of bananas equals 288.
Illustration 4
A student has a 2-sided pencil colour (which means there are 2 colours in one pencil) there are 24 coloured pencils in a pack. Calculate the total number of colours in a pack.
Ans. Given a pack of pencils colour
1 pack = 24 colours
1 pencil = 2 coloured pencils (as it is a 2-sided pencil)
So, there are 24 × 2 = 48 colours
Illustration 5
Calculate the number of wood logs in 5 bundles having 24 wood logs in each.
Ans. Given 5 bundles of wood logs,
1 bundle = 24 wood logs
We need to find the product of 24 × 5 for calculating the number of total wood logs.
According to table 24, 24 × 5 = 120
So, the total number of wood logs is 120.
24 × 24 = 576.
24 × a = 144
According to the table of 24, 24 × 6 = 144
So, 144 is the answer to the question.
\begin{aligned}
24 \times 4 \times 6 \times 12 & =24 \times 24 \times 12 \
& =24 \times 288 \
& =6,912
\end{aligned}
