Since radians are more frequently used to measure angles than degrees, it is crucial to know how to convert degrees to radians.
Angular velocity, arc length, and sector area of a circle are a few examples of common uses for the radian unit. When dealing with objects moving in circular paths or sections of a circular path, one should essentially use radians. Although the angle in the problem statement can be expressed in degrees, we should always convert angles expressed in degrees to radians before using them in calculations.

The measurement unit for a plane angle is a degree, also known as an arc degree. The letter (°) serves as its symbol. The angle required for a full rotation is 360°. A 360° angle represents a full rotation, and the protractor is the tool used to measure an angle in degrees.
Another unit used to measure angles in geometry is the radian. One radian is the angle created at the centre of a circle by an arc with a length equal to the circle's radius (r). 2\pi radians are equal to one full counterclockwise rotation. A straight angle is written as \pi radians, while a right angle is written as \frac{\pi}{2} radians.
When measuring angles for a full rotation in radians and degrees, we can compare them as follows:
360 Degrees = 2\pi Radians
180 Degree = \pi Radians
Radians () are equivalent to 180 degrees. You must multiply the value by \frac{\pi}{180} for any given angle to be converted from degrees to radians. The value of \pi is 22/7 or 3.14.

Derivation of Degrees to Radians Formula
In radians, one full counterclockwise revolution equals 2\pi , while one full counterclockwise revolution is 360° in degrees. These sentences are equivalent to:
1 complete counterclockwise revolution in degrees = 360°
1 complete counterclockwise revolution in radians = 2\pi
Degrees to Radians Equation:
As we have an equation used to show the relationship between degree measure and radian measure:
360° = 2\pi radians.
and, 180° = \pi radians.
We obtain the equation,
1° = \frac{\pi}{180} radians.
This provides us with the formula to convert values between degrees and radians and vice versa.
Thus, to convert degrees to radians, we use this formula = Degree measure X (π/180°).
1° = \frac{\pi}{180} radians = 0.017453 radians.
