In India, there are a total of 74 Miniratans. Miniratna are those that have positive net worth and also made a profit in the last continuous 3 years. There are two categories for Miniratna category 1 and category 2.
Category I: This includes the PSUs (public sector undertakings that are owned by the government) that generated a profit of 30 crores in the previous 3 years.
Category II: This includes PSUs that have made a profit in the preceding 3 years and those who also have a positive network.
