Children compete in the Dahi Handi event with vigour.

Our society had a great experience last year. Many earthen pots were hoisted high above the street during the Janmashtami event. Soon after, a group of children formed a human pyramid beneath the pot. They fell often, but eventually, they could construct the pyramid. The youngest child climbed to the top and cracked the pot, drenching everyone below in curd.

Everyone, wealthy or poor, gathers and participates in this event with activities. Janmashtami is celebrated with friends, families, and neighbours. People gather, sing, dance, and exchange gifts. Young people participate in functions organised by society members.
