Here you learn the method of multiplication which helps you in finding the product of two or more numbers. It's an arithmetic operation that is used quite often in real life. Multiplication simply means you have to combine the group of those who are of equal size. In this article, you learn about table 246, as well as the process of multiplication. Go through the article.
It's an operation that represents the idea of repeating the addition of the same number. The number which is multiplied are called the factors and the number we get after the multiplication of two or more numbers is known as the product of the numbers. Multiplication is used to make your calculation easy as compared to adding the same number again and again.
Eg: If there are 3 boxes of chocolates and each box contains 6 chocolates then find the number of chocolates.
Solution
This question is solved by two methods. The very first one is simply adding the same number, again and again, that is 3+3+3+3+3+3=18.
As this number is not complex and a very small number is a little bit easy to add but you can find the large number also which creates a hectic addition so you must use the second method which is multiplication.
Let's do this question with the help of multiplication. Here you will multiply the number of boxes by the number of chocolates to find the total number which is 3\times 6=18
As you can see the results are the same but in multiplication, you get the result in a shorter time.
The formulas of multiplication are expressed as:
Multiplicand × Multiplier = Product
Multiplicand = It's the first number (factor)
Multiplier = it's the second number (factor)
Product = The final result after the multiplication of multiplicand and multiplier.
Symbol= × used to connect the numbers
Example= 5(multiplicand)×6(multiplier)=30(Product).
Here is a list of a few tricks and tips that can be used as follows:
While multiplying you can see the order doesn't matter. As if the question is 6 \times 4 then you can multiply
4 \times 6 In both cases you can get the same result.
If you have to multiply three numbers, then just choose two numbers and you can multiply 2 numbers easily. Example: 2 \times 5 \times 12 here you can see that you can easily multiply 2 \times 5 but 12 is a little bit difficult so just multiply 2 \times 5 which is 10 and then to get the whole result to multiply 10 by 12 which gives you the correct result that is 120.
\begin{aligned}
&246 \times 1=246 \\
&246\times2=492\\
&246\times3=738 \\
&246\times4 =984 \\
&246\times5 =1230 \\
&246\times6= 1476 \\
&246\times7 =1722 \\
&246\times8 =1968 \\
&246\times9 =2214 \\
&246\times10=2460 \\
\end{aligned}
Cost of 1 kg mango = Rs. 246
\text{Cost of 17 kgs of mango} = 246 \times 17 = \text{Rs. } 4182
Table 246, the value of 246 multiplied by 18 is 4428.
Table of 246, the 13th multiple of 246 is 3198.
The 18 th multiple of 246 is 4428.
The 19th multiple of 246 is 4674.
