A multiplication table of 162 is an arrangement of information or data generated by repeated multiplication and addition of 162 by natural numbers in a row and column format.
Here, you can learn the multiplication table of 162 using multiplication and addition methods. It will help the learner quickly to remember the table and apply it in numerical calculations and data analysis.
Students learn the multiples of a number in a math table, which is the foundation of the subject. Multiplication tables have been taught to us since we were in primary school. We may swiftly solve issues involving multiplication with the aid of these math tables. Thus, it is essential for pupils to memorise math tables 1 through 20, enabling them to complete challenging calculations with ease.
Mathematical table proficiency is a necessary building element in mathematics. It paves the way for multi-digit multiplication. It lays the groundwork for long division, fraction simplification, algebra, and other subjects. The area concept of multiplication becomes increasingly important in higher courses. Students must memorise these tables in order to be successful mathematics learners and break through the barrier that has been demonstrated to limit their performance in life, school, and profession.
Math tables 1–20 are the first stage in developing advanced skills for computational fluency with algebraic expressions and higher numbers. Students are encouraged to learn these tables in order to build a strong foundation in arithmetic throughout middle school, high school, and beyond.
Example 1. Calculate 162\times 6 using the addition method.
Ans. To calculate the value of 162\times 6, we have to add 162 six times i.e.
\begin{equation} 162+162+162+162+162+162=972\end{equation},
we get 972.
Example 2. Find the value of 162\times 8 using the addition method.
Ans. To calculate the value of 162\times 8, we have to add 162 eight times, i.e.\begin{equation} 162+162+162+162+162+162+162+162=1296\end{equation}.
Example 3. Find the value of 162\times 30 using both the multiplication method.
Ans. To find the value of 162\times 30 follows the given two steps:
First, we have to calculate 162\times 3=486 ..
In the second step, using the multiplication method, we get the final answer, i.e. 486\times 10 = 4860,
Example 4: A farmer has a field of wheat that is planted in rows. There are 18 rows of wheat and each row has 162 plants. Calculate the total number of wheat plants in the field.
Ans: To solve this problem, we need first to find the total number of plants in one row by multiplying the number of plants per row by the number of rows.
The number of rows of wheat Plants = 18
Number of plants in each row = 162
The total number of trees in the field =?
According to the table of 162, 162 \times 18 =2916
Therefore, the overall quantity of wheat plants within the field=162 \times 18 =2916.
Example 5: A bookstore sells e-books for Rs. 162 each. If a customer wants to buy 10 e-books, how much will they need to pay?
Ans: To solve this problem, we need to first find the total cost by multiplying the cost of one ebook by the number of e-books the customer wants to buy.
Cost of an Ebook = Rs. 162
Number of Ebooks = 10
Total amount to be paid for 10 Ebooks = 162 \times 10 = 1620
Thus, the Total amount to be paid for 10 Ebooks = 1620 Rs.
In the multiplication method, 162 is multiplied by natural numbers in series. For example: When 162 is multiplied by 1, you get 162. When 162 is multiplied by 2, you get 324. The same method follows until you need it.
The table of 162 using the multiplication method is given below:
\begin{array}{|l|l|}
\hline 161 \times 1= & 162 \\
\hline 161 \times 2= & 324 \\
\hline 162 \times 3= & 486 \\
\hline 162 \times 4= & 648 \\
\hline 162 \times 5= & 810 \\
\hline 162 \times 6= & 972 \\
\hline 162 \times 7= & 1134 \\
\hline 162 \times 8= & 1296 \\
\hline 162 \times 9= & 1458 \\
\hline 162 \times 10= & 1620 \\
\hline
\end{array}
The multiplication table of 162 is the collection of organised data by multiplying 162 by natural numbers in tabular format.
No, 162 is not a prime number. A prime number is an integer greater than 1 that is divisible only by one and itself. 162 can be evenly divided by numbers other than 1 and itself, such as 2, 3, 6, 9, 18, 27, and 54.
The factors of 162 are the numbers that can divide the number 162 without leaving a remainder. Some of the factors of 162 are 1, 2, 3 and 6, 9, 18, 27, 54, and 81.
The first ten multiples of 162 are the numbers that result from multiplying 162 by the numbers 1 through 10. Therefore, the first ten multiples of 162 X 1 = 162, 162 X 2 = 324, 486, 648, 810, 972, 1134, 1296, 1458, and 1620.
The multiplication method is less time taking and less calculative. So, the multiplication method is widely used.
