National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is an offline scholarship exam for class 10 students to encourage higher studies in the field of Science and Social science. This exam is conducted by NCERT at two stages. SCERT or other authority of the respective state conducts stage 1 at the state level and stage 2 exam is held by NCERT at the national level.

Know About Paper Pattern

• Each stage has two papers- MAT (Mental Ability Test) and SAT (Scholastic Ability Test) of 100 marks each.
• Students will have 4 hours to complete both papers which include 2 hours for each paper.
• Students who qualify both the stages of NTSE 2021 will be awarded scholarships.
• A total of 2000 students will be shortlisted for the NTSE scholarships.

SYLLABUS

Students preparing for upcoming Stage 1 and stage 2 exams should know the latest syllabus of NTSE exam. The NTSE 2021 syllabus is divided into two parts SAT and MAT as the NTSE exam is held in two stages. NTSE SAT syllabus comprises Maths, Social Science and Science subjects, whereas NTSE MAT syllabus consists of verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Students should also note that there is no specified NTSE exam syllabus by NCERT. But the exam level is kept up to class 10th, so students can consider their class 9 and 10 syllabus.

Stage 1 textbooks from the state board of education for grades 9 and 10 are used. SAT subjects include mathematics, science, and social studies. LAT is taught in English. If you have completely coated all of your parts from top to bottom, you should be set to go.

Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh has released NTSE UP 2020 stage 1 answer key on December 16, 2020. NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2020 stage 1 exam was conducted on December 13, 2020. Now, NTSE UP result 2021 will be announced online in the month of March 2021. Students can check the merit list to know if they are selected for the NTSE stage II exam or not. NCERT will conduct the stage 2 exam and finally, selected candidates will avail the NTSE UP 2020-21 scholarship. NTSE UP application form 2020-21 was made available online on www.examregulatoryauthorityup.in. Class 10 students studying in UP are eligible for NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2020-21 exam through respective schools. After NTSE Form 2020 , the authority released NTSE UP admit card 2020-21 through respective school or exam centre. Students will have to fulfil the following NTSE eligibility criteria to apply for stage 1 exam of NTSE

• A student must be passed class 9 exams and scored 55% marks in aggregate and SC/ST can apply with 44% marks in 9th.
• A student must be studying in class 10 during the academic year 2020-21 in a school located in Uttar Pradesh.
• Open or distance learning students can also apply for the exam.
• Student’s age should be less than 18 years, and should not be employed.

Directorate of School Education, West Bengal will release the application form for the NTSE exam in October 2021, tentatively. The application form concludes in the month of november.The NTSE West Bengal 2021-22 application form will be released on the official website scholarships.wbsed.gov.in.
