mrinalini048 1st Oct, 2021

Hey!

NTSE is one of the most prominent national solarship programme. It's objective is to find and assist intelligent students. The National Council of Education Research and Training admisnisters this test for students in Grade 10. The test is divided into two stages namely Stage 1(State or UT level) and Stage 2 (National level)

There are several benefits associated with it apart from getting scholarship. This test helps students prepare for future competitive examinations by allowing them to assess where they are and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Many prestigious colleges in India have reserved seats for NTSE qualified students. NTSE scholar students can clear the institute's entrance test with a good score as they have practice of giving and studying fir entrance exams. Having the tag if NTSE scholar on your CV is a remarkable accomplishment that provides you with several benefits over other prospects. Also, NTSE qualified students are given certain advantage during NDA selections.

All the best!

can I start preparing for ntse along with term 1in last month by studying 8 hours not including school

Sudeshna Dutta 1st Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

If you just have one month available and want to undertake comprehensive study (at the very least for the MAT and Science sections of the SAT), you should look at books for the National Test of Secondary Education (NTSE) by Arihant or Cengage Learning. These are excellent books that will undoubtedly help students in both the MAT and Science sections of their exams. Choose R.D. Sharma for your Maths preparation; it is the finest book available for math preparation. However, if you want to complete the maths part as quickly as possible, take NTSE sample exams; this will assist you. So, in order to prepare for the NTSE in one month, follow the steps outlined below: (Subjects are ranked priority wise.) Study at least 8 hours each day at home throughout this one-month period.

The following is the path to be followed for the NTSE Stage 1 Exam:

  • Choose Arihant if you want to finish the MAT completely in one month's time. It contains a decent level of MAT questions that are appropriate to the level of NTSE Stage 1, and it covers all of the different kinds of MAT questions. (Make an effort to finish MAT in two days.)
  • Then concentrate on Social Science, which is very essential; to prepare for it, consult State Board Social Studies Books, since all questions come from them (at least 95 percent of the questions in Exam are based on it).
  • Read it quickly and highlight the most important elements as well as any information that you believe may show up in the test. Continue to revise it until you are confident in your preparation. (Make an attempt to do this in nine days.)
  • The science component is the next critical component. State Board Books may also be used for this purpose. Take the steps outlined above and you should be OK. (Make an attempt to do this in six days.)
  • Then there's mathematics. This is a relatively simple topic with a maximum of five tough questions. Provide practise exams for it and have it completed in three days.
Now, over the next 10 days, devote 7 days to comprehensive review of all of the topics covered before. One good book is much preferable than learning from ten excellent books when it comes to repetitive practise. In the final three days, all you should do is study model papers and answer as many questions as you can. Simply maintain your composure and trust in your abilities. The most important tip is that on the day of examination, read the questions twice, however easy it may be. It may be a piece of 'old school' wisdom, but it is still relevant today, regardless of the passing of time. Spending 2–3 seconds extra on reading a question twice will make the instructions clear and will save you a mark(By correctly attempting the question, with knowing all the details.) Last but not the least, always maintain your pace with the available time during the exam, but never be in a hurry.
  • Keep your calm and solve the paper. Be optimistic, and you will definitely clear the exam with flying colours. All the best!

Hope you got the answer to your question. Incase of any queries, feel free to question. Have a great day!
