Hi Chikku,
NTSE exam 2020 result will be declared on second week of February 2020 and the cutoff for the exam will be affected by the following factors the
Number of students attended the exam the difficulty of the exam
Highest score scored by candidate and the lowest score of a candidate
Number of seats available
last year the score was 146 for general and 128 for OBC
For 2020 the predicted score is 146 155 for general and 130- 140 for OBC.
So by getting 153 marks, your son has a better chance of qualifying, anyway wait till the result is out.
Hope you get it,Thank you
Hello,
Considering your marks, It would be very tough to say that. As the expected cut-off lies between 140-150, there is a good chance of you getting selected for second level of Ntse(National talent search Exam) if mistakes were taken into account . Please refer this link for further details.

Since your son has quite a lot of time to prepare for the exam so I would suggest to start with development of MAT skills, Strengthen Mental Ability section as it requires time to develop. Since, NTSE exam is from the syllabus of class 9th and 10th so you can initially start by NCERT of Social Science as Maths and Science of 9th and 10th for a 7th standard student will be tough to handle at this stage. You can start with basic topics of 9th and 10th class for a start. Try to familiarize him with the topics and pattern of the examination by showing the previous years question paper. For further detail about the preparation you can refer to this link.
