Students appearing in Class 10 exams are eligible to apply for the NTSE Karnataka 2021-2022. NTSE Karnataka 2021-22 registration

Hope you are doing great.
Registration for NTSE Karnataka had started on 11 November 2021 and opened till 10th December 2021. And the admit card had been released in December 2021. Now the NTSE Karnataka stage 1 exam is going to happen on 16th January 2022(Tentative). NTSE Karnataka is a stage 1 exam. Qualifying candidates will appear for NTSE stage 2 conducted by NCERT.
Eligibility for NTSE 2021-22 is that only candidates from Karnataka are eligible and the students of unreserved category must have 55% in their 9th standard and SC/ST category students must have secured 45% marks in their class 9th.

Are engineering 1st year students eligible for NTSE
Hi there,
Unfortunately, 1st year studnets of engineering are not eligible for NTSE. Studnets studying in class 10th are eligible for appearing in NTSE stage 1. Sainik Schools studnets, Navodya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya studnets can apply for NTSE from the state where school is situated. There will be no domicile restrictions for them.

Karnataka NTSE Stage 1 exam will be conducted on January 16, 2022.
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducts NTSE 2021 exam in 2 stages.
Stage 1 of the NTSE will be held at the state level exam whereas the stage 2 exam will be conducted at the national level.

KSEEB will release the application form for Karnataka NTSE in the month of October 2021, tentatively. Students appearing in Class 10 exams are eligible to apply for the NTSE Karnataka 2021-22. The application forms are not yet released. Keep an eye on the official website for the latest information. The NTSE Karnataka 2022 stage 1 exam is expected to be held in the month of December 2021. The NTSE 2022 stage 2 will be conducted at the national level by NCERT. The NTSE Karnataka 2021-22 exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode.State level exam conducting authorities release NTSE registration forms 2021-22 in online and offline mode.

NTSE stands for National Talent Search exam.
NTSE Karnataka is a state level exam conducted by Department of State Educational Research and Training.
NTSE Karnataka is state1 exam. Qualified candidates appear for state2 exam conducted by NCERT.
The application form will be released online in month of October.
Admit card will be provided in month of November.
Stage1 exam will be held in December.
Qualified candidates for stage2 will get admit card in April.
And exam state2 will be conducted in month of July.
The final results will be declared in month of September, next year.

Dear Student,
Students studying in class 10 are eligible to appear in the NTSE 2021 exam. Those students who will qualify stage 1 exam will be eligible for the stage 2 exam. It must be noted that Indian students studying abroad can appear directly for the stage 2 exam.
NTSE Eligibility Criteria 2021- Age Limit
NCERT has prescribed the age limit for open school students to appear in the NTSE stage 1. Open students should be below the age of 18 years (as of July 1, 2020). This age limit is applicable for both Indian students as well as for students of Indian origin studying abroad.

In 2020 the cut off for NTSE Karnataka stage 1 for OBC category was 129 marks. In 2021 the cut off marks for stage 1 for OBC category is expected to be in between 125-135 marks. Considering this you have decent chances to qualify in stage 1 and appear for NTSE stage 2. SO you can start your preparation for stage 2. The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination, highest score, least score etc.
