Hi Student,
Thank you for reaching out!
Yes , securing admission to Class 11 is absolutely possible after passing Class 10 from a recognized board like CBSE, ICSE, or state boards. The process typically starts after Class 10 results are declared. Eligibility requires a minimum of 33-40% aggregate in Class 10, although competitive schools or streams (such as Science or Commerce) may demand 50-75% in relevant subjects like mathematics or science. For instance, CBSE schools often require 60%+ for science streams.
The admission process varies by board and state.
Required documents include the Class 10 marksheet, transfer certificate, birth certificate, and category certificate (if applicable).

The Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) generally conducts the class 10 and class 12 board examinations in March, and the results are announced in May on the official website, at edudel.nic.in. The DBSE board exam results are released online, and candidates can check their results using their roll number, date of birth and verification text. The physical mark sheets will be made available by the individual schools of the candidates.
Here are few methods to check the results without admit card:
Some boards allow you to check results using: Full name, Date of birth, School code or enrollment number.
Try the result portal for your board using your personal details. BOSSE (your board) may allow this.
You can recover Admit Card Details by:

The admissions in CBSE Class 11 depend on the eligibility rules of the school. If you score between 400 and 450 in the CBSE Class 10th result (around 80–90%), many schools will consider you, particularly if you perform well in their entrance exam. Strong entrance scores can improve your chances, though final admission also depends on seat availability and the stream you choose. For graduation-level admissions later, colleges and universities generally evaluate students on their Class 12 board exam marks along with entrance exam performance, depending on the course. So, your Class 12 performance will matter more at that stage.
If your board exam result is showing fewer marks than your expectations, then you can apply for scrutiny. In this process, your answer sheet will be rechecked and totalled again. And in case of any mistake found in counting, there is a chance your marks will increase; otherwise, they will remain unchanged.
The CBSE Class 10 board results for 2025 were officially declared on May 13, 2025. Next, the 2026 CBSE Class 10 exams will be held twice. The CBSE 10th Phase 1 results for 2026 are expected to be announced in April 2026, and phase 2 results 2026 will be released in June 2026.
