What if I get below 450 but above 400 in 10th board cbse and get gud marks in entrance exam... Will I get admition??

Manasvini Gupta 18th Sep, 2025

The admissions in CBSE Class 11 depend on the eligibility rules of the school. If you score between 400 and 450 in the CBSE Class 10th result (around 80–90%), many schools will consider you, particularly if you perform well in their entrance exam. Strong entrance scores can improve your chances, though final admission also depends on seat availability and the stream you choose. For graduation-level admissions later, colleges and universities generally evaluate students on their Class 12 board exam marks along with entrance exam performance, depending on the course. So, your Class 12 performance will matter more at that stage.

I have written option a, b, c in small letter in my class 10 board exam will it have any effect or not. I am very tensed. plz answer

Garima Sihag 8th Sep, 2025

Writing the option letters (a, b, c, d) in small letters in your Class 10 board exam will not affect your marks, as long as your answers are correct and clearly indicated. Board examiners focus on the accuracy and clarity of your answers, not on whether you use uppercase or lowercase letters.

Also, there’s no rule against using lowercase letters to indicate multiple-choice answers in board exams. As long as your handwriting is legible, capitalisation doesn’t affect scoring.

I have one doubt regarding the distribution of question paper in class 10 board exam. Actually there are different sets of question paper when a student is getting one set example A will it be already written to the invigilator or as they wish they can give

Garima Sihag 29th Aug, 2025

The distribution of question papers in CBSE Class 10 board exams is a very carefully managed process to ensure fairness and security.

An invigilator does not have the authority or discretion to choose which question paper set to give to a student. The process is pre-arranged and standardized by the examination authorities. The CBSE 10 question papers arrive at the examination center in sealed packets, with each packet containing a specific set (Set A, B, C, etc.).

When the time comes, the invigilator opens these sealed packets in the examination room, often in the presence of two students as witnesses, and then distributes the papers according to a predetermined, random pattern. This system ensures that the papers are distributed without any bias or preference. It's a key security measure to prevent any form of malpractice and to ensure that all students have a fair chance.

i studied 1 to 10th CBSE board abroad and 11th 12th in karnataka state board . i am a domicile of karnataka and comes under minority, income under 5 lakhs. how neet councillng will allocate my seat

Mitali Sharma 30th Jan, 2025

Hello

Since you are a domicile of Karnataka and have studied under the Karnataka State Board for 11th and 12th , you are eligible for Karnataka State Quota for admission to various colleges in the state.

1. KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test): You must appear for the KCET exam, which is required for admission to undergraduate professional courses like engineering, medical, and other streams. Your exam score and rank will determine your eligibility for counseling.

2. Minority Income under 5 Lakh : If you are from a minority community and your family's income is below 5 lakh, you may be eligible for fee concessions or other benefits depending on the specific institution. Some colleges offer reservations or other advantages for students in this category.

3. Counseling and Seat Allocation:

After the KCET exam, you will need to participate in online counseling.

You need to select your preferred colleges and courses.

Seat allocation will be based on your rank , the availability of seats in your chosen colleges and your preferences.

4. Required Documents :

Domicile Certificate (proof that you are a resident of Karnataka).

Income Certificate (for minority category benefits).

Marksheets (11th and 12th from the Karnataka State Board).

KCET Admit Card and Scorecard.

This process will allow you to secure a seat based on your KCET performance and your category .
