Tamilnadu SSLC Board 2018 - The Tamil Nadu Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination is conducted by the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE). TN 10th was held from March 16 to April 20, 2018. The exam was started with Part 1 language paper followed by Language Paper 2, English Paper 1 & 2, Mathematics, Part 4 Optional Language, Science and Social Science. Each paper is held for 2 ½ hours duration. Over 6 lakh candidates are expected to appear for Tamilnadu SSLC Board examination. The admit cards has been released by the board. Candidates have to collect their admit cards from the respective schools. However, the private candidates have to download their admit card online. The result of Tamilnadu SSLC Board will be declared in the third week of May, 2018. DGE, Tamilnadu conducts the Class 10th exam for all the private and government schools in the state. Tamilnadu SSLC examination is conducted three times in a academic year in a year. The SSLC Public Examination is conducted in March/April while Instant Special Supplementary Examination is held in June/July. The Supplementary examination is conducted in September/October session.

Tamilnadu SSLC Board 2018 - Eligibility Criteria
Candidates appearing for SSLC examination need to fulfill the required age criteria. According to Tamilnadu SSLC Board eligibility criteria, candidates must have completed 14 years on the first day of the month in which the examination is to be conducted.
Age exemption – If candidates have not completed 14 years as on the prescribed date they should submit an order from the authorities given below.

Tamilnadu SSLC Board Application Form 2018
The concerned headmasters are required to sent the names of candidates who are appearing for the SSLC examination to DGE. Private Candidates have to apply for SSLC examination in Government Examination Service Centres located in all educational districts in person. The officials will upload the datas like name, date of birth, language and subjects, educational qualification, photo and address and contact number. candidates should be given personal/parent address and contact numbers. The centre officials will give the filled application along with registration slip.

Tamilnadu SSLC Admit Card 2018
Regular candidates have to collect their admit card from the respective schools. Private candidates have to download their Tamilnadu SSLC Board admit card online. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter application number and date of birth. The admit card mentions the name, address, registration number, roll number, subjects, codes, duration and date of birth. The admit card of Tamilnadu SSLC Board is an important document without which candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

The Tamilnadu SSLC Board is conducted in – Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Optional Language (Telugu, Arabic, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati Sanskrit. French and Urdu). The minimum passing marks in each subject out of 100 is 35%. Questions in Part III is in English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati and Urdu. Marks secured in optional subject is not taken into account for declaration of a pass or fail. Tamilnadu SSLC Board exam pattern is given in the table below.

The result of Tamilnadu SSLC Board will be declared in the third week of May. Candidates can check their result online. For this, they are required to login with their registration number and date of birth. Candidates can download the provisional marksheet while checking the result. The original marksheet and pass certificate has to be collected from the respective schools. Tamilnadu SSLC Board result will mention a candidate’s name, Roll number, School Name, Date of birth, Subjects, Subject-wise and total marks secured and Division. Candidates can apply for re-totalling of marks after the declaration of result within the prescribed dates. They are required to pay requisite fees in cash while registering. The fee for single subject is Rs 205.
