TN 10th will be held in March/April, 2019. The result will be declared in May. DGE, Tamilnadu conducts the Class 10th exam for all the private and government schools in the state. Tamil Nadu SSLC examination is conducted three times in a year. The Instant Special Supplementary Examination is held in June/July. The Supplementary examination is conducted in September/October session.

 

Last year, Tamilnadu SSLC board was held from March 16 to April 20, 2018 and the result was declared on May 23, 2018. Over 10 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. The overall pass percentage was 94.5. The pass percentage among girls was 96.4 while it was 92.5 among boys. Tamil Nadu SSLC Board 2019 - Eligibility Criteria

  • According to Tamilnadu SSLC Board eligibility criteria, candidates must have completed 14 years on the first day of the month in which the examination is to be conducted.

Age exemption – If candidates have not completed 14 years as on the prescribed date they should submit an order from the authorities given below.

  • Also, candidates must have passed class 9 from UP Board of a recognised board of education.

Tamilnadu SSLC Board Application Form 2019

 

The concerned headmasters are required to send the names of candidates who are appearing for the SSLC examination to DGE. Private Candidates have to apply for SSLC examination in Government Examination Service Centres located in all educational districts in person. The officials will upload the datas like name, date of birth, language and subjects, educational qualification, photo and address and contact number. candidates should be given personal/parent address and contact numbers. The centre officials will give the filled application along with registration slip.

Tamil Nadu SSLC Admit Card 2019

 

Regular candidates have to collect their admit card from the respective schools. Private candidates have to download their Tamilnadu SSLC Board admit card online. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter application number and date of birth. The admit card mentions the name, address, registration number, roll number, subjects, codes, duration and date of birth. The admit card of Tamilnadu SSLC Board is an important document without which candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

 

Tamil Nadu SSLC Exam Pattern 2019

The Tamil Nadu SSLC Board exam is conducted in – Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Optional Language (Telugu, Arabic, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati Sanskrit. French and Urdu). The minimum passing marks in each subject out of 100 is 35%. Questions in Part III is in English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati and Urdu. Marks secured in optional subject is not taken into account for declaration of a pass or fail. Tamilnadu SSLC Board exam pattern is given in the table below.

Tamil Nadu 10th Result 2019

 

The result of Tamilnadu SSLC Board has been announced on May 23, 2018. Candidates can check their result online. For this, they are required to login with their registration number and date of birth. Candidates can download the provisional marksheet while checking the result. The original marksheet and pass certificate has to be collected from the respective schools. Tamilnadu SSLC Board result mentions a candidate’s name, Roll number, School Name, Date of birth, Subjects, Subject-wise and total marks secured and Division. Candidates can apply for re-totalling of marks after the declaration of result within the prescribed dates. They are required to pay requisite fees in cash while registering. The fee for single subject is Rs 205.

 

Tamil Nadu 10th Result Analysis

In 2018, approximately 10 lakh students had appeared for the class 10 board exams in the state. Among them, 94.5 percent students passed the exam. Girls fared boys with a pass percentage of 96.4 % while it was 92.5 % among boys.
