Unified Council administers National Level Science Talent Search Examination or NSTSE for students of class 2 to 12. NSTSE 2019 for students applying through schools was held on December 7, while for direct or individual applicants, the exam was conducted on December 16, 2018. Registrations are now closed and the last date to submit applications for NSTSE 2019 through schools was September 30, 2018, while the conducting body received applications from individual applicants till October 1, 2018. The 60-minute long exam tests the analytical thinking ability of students and comprises objective type questions with no negative marking. The result of NSTSE 2019 has been released on January 22, 2019.
The topper of NSTSE 2019 (among all classes) will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2,00,000 if they secure 100% marks. In case the score is less than 100%, the prize money will be 1 lakh. Each of the top 3 students of every class is given a Tablet PC, a Memento and a Medal. Those obtaining ranks 4 to 25 in each class will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1000 each. The top 100 rankers are all awarded a 2 CD Pack of Britannica Concise Encyclopedia and Planet Earth along with a medal and certificate of appreciation.
As per NSTSE eligibility criteria, students studying classes II to X are eligible to apply for the exam. Students of class XI and XII (either PCB or PCM) can appear for NSTSE 2019 exam. However, there is no exam for PCMB group of 10+2.

NSTSE registration process is of two types. It can be done individually by students for which one has to register online and pay online via net banking, debit card or credit card. The other way is to register through schools. Here, the NSTSE application form 2019 can be collected from the school, filled and submitted there itself. For this, students have to make payment as directed by the school. After this, the school will send the fee for all students appearing from the school via Demand Draft (DD).
All questions in NSTSE 2019 are objective-type, with a different question paper for each class. There will be no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted answers. The exam for each class will be hhttp://www.bmatalent.com/classwise-books-2/eld for 60 minutes (1 hour). Students of class 3 to 12 have to answer the section on Critical Thinking along with the other sections which test them on the basis of reasoning, strategic planning and application, decision making, objective/ subjective analysis as well as logical and inductive reasoning. Maths and Science will be based on 75% of the syllabus of CBSE. It is also suitable for students studying in ICSE/ ISC or any other State Board.
