SOF NCO 2018 - The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has announced the result of NCO on March 1, 2019. Earlier SOF released the answer key for SET A on January 23, 2019. National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) 2018 level is conducted for participation by students from classes 1 to 12 from schools registered with SOF. Some Schools have conducted the National Cyber Olympiad 2018 level 1 exam on December 20, 2018, while others conducted on January 31, 2019. The last date of registration of NCO 2018 was August 31, 2018. SOF conducts National Cyber Olympiad each year with an aim to promote computer education among the students. Top ranking students of NCO 2018 will be awarded fellowship/ scholarships up to Rs. 50,000/-. The National Cyber Olympiad 2018 is conducted for students from classes 1 to 12. The eligibility criteria for criteria for NCO 2018 states the following conditions-
Only those whose school is registered with the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) are eligible to apply.
Independent candidates cannot participate.
The registration form and registration sheet of NCO 2018 were sent to all the schools registered with SOF. Students were registered through their respective schools only. Designated school authorities were required to register interested students, collect registration fee, and add his/ her name in the registration sheet. The registration sheet is sent to SOF 30 days prior to the date of the exam by school authorities after allotment of roll numbers.

A registration fee of Rs. 125 to 150 /- was collected from the participating students by the school authorities.
NCO 2018 Selection Procedure
As mentioned earlier, NCO 2018 is a written exam conducted on the premises of each registered school, at the usual school timings. Schools choose to give the exam on either one of the prescribed dates, December 20, 2018, and January 31, 2019. Top ranking students will be awarded scholarship, and awards at international, zonal, and school level.
Students aspiring to participate in NCO 2018 should thoroughly go through the exam pattern, syllabus, and sample papers of the exam to score well. The three preparation materials allow students to develop familiarity with the exam questions, time duration and other such key methods to qualify the exam. The National Cyber Olympiad 2018 exam comprises 3 sections, Logical Reasoning, Computer and IT, and Achievers’ section. For classes 1 to 4 the exam has 35 questions in total for 40 marks in total. NCO Exam Pattern 2018 for Classes 5 to 12
The sample paper for NCO 2018 is designed such that the students can develop a familiarity with the subject and type of questions. SOF releases sample papers of NOC for classes 1 to 12. Frequently practising with the sample papers gets students well equipped with the time duration, and marking scheme of the exam.
The syllabus of NCO 2018 is determined under the prescription of CBSE, ICSE, and various other state boards. Class wise syllabus for classes 1 to 12 NCO 2018 is made available by SOF. NCO 2018 syllabus is prescribed for all three of the exam sections, logical reasoning, computer and IT, and Achievers section. It is essential to study all the subjects mentioned to clear the examination.
The answer key of National Cyber Olympiad 2018 for set A has been released by SOF for classes 1 to 12 separately. NCO 2018 answer key contains the correct answers for questions asked in the 3 sections, logical reasoning, computer and IT, and achievers’ section. Students can use the answer key to recheck their answers and calculate an estimate of their scores for NCO 2018.
Students can check the result of NCO 2018 declared on March 1, 2019. Each participant of NCO 2018 gets an SPR or Student Performance Report. NCO 2018 Student Performance Report 2018 contains a detailed analysis of each candidate’s performance in the exam. The report comprises 6 sections as per which the performance report will be created. The performance report helps students see their strengths and weaknesses to help them with their academic development.
International, zonal, and class toppers of NCO 2018 will be awarded by the Science Olympiad Foundation. Top ranking students on international, zonal, and school level will be awarded medals, certificates, and a sum of money. For more on NCO Awards, see the following tables.
