what is EWS in NTSE Registration form 2019?

Taran Student Expert 14th Sep, 2019

Dear Monika,

Monetarily Weaker Section (EWS) in India is a subcategory of individuals having a place with the General Category having a yearly family pay under ₹8 lakhs and who don't have a place with any saved class, for example, SC/ST/OBC (focal rundown). In the event that an EWS competitor's yearly family salary is over as far as possible, at that point he/she will be perceived as an up-and-comer from General class and not from EWS classification.

what is EWS in NTSE registration form 2019 ?

Dinesh Goyal 17th Sep, 2019

EWS refers to Economically weaker Sections. Students whose familiy income is less than 2 lakh per annum are kept under EWS  category. But in NTSE , there is no reservation for EWS candidates. Only reservation is provided to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.

Hope it helps!!

is NTSE is important to crack iit. I am in icse board but I want to prepare for NTSE but it is too difficult for me to complete the syllabus of boards as you know icse is too difficult with a vast syllabus

Aditi Amrendra Student Expert 12th Sep, 2019

If your aim is to go in IIT you should focus on jee as ntse syllabus is entirely different and the most important thing for you currently is to focus on your 10th boards as ICSE indeed is tough.Dont rush for lot of thing at the same time.Try to be best at one thing at a time.

Good Luck

ICSE BOARDS OR NTSE on which should I focus as I cannot prepare for NTSE being in icse 9

Sunanda Dhar Student Expert 12th Sep, 2019

U can easily access PDF of ncert class 9 an 10 books and also u must read the related topics from the icse textbook.

Or u can get the study material of some institutes like Allen, motion and all through dlp.In a day along with the icse syllabus you must take out a minimum of half an hour and study for ntse.

Feel free to ask me in the comment box if you are having any further doubts

hope you find it helpful

Good Luck!
