CBSE Class 10th 2019 - Central Board of Secondary Education conducts CBSE class 10th exam every year in March/ April. CBSE 10th or All India Secondary School Exam (AISSE) is the qualifying exam for students to take admission to 10+2 in the next academic session. The datesheet for the exam has been released on December 23, 2018 and the exam will be held from February 21 to March 29, 2019.
Each paper in AISSE 2019 will be held for 100 marks (80 marks for theory). To qualify in CBSE class 10th 2019, one has to score 33% in each paper while clearing both theory and practical. CBSE class 10th result will be announced in the First week of May 2019 and those not satisfied with the same will be able to apply for revaluation within prescribed timelines. In 2018, the result of the 10th Board exam was released on May 29, and 86.70% of 16,24,682 candidates who appeared, cleared the exam. CBSE Class 10th 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Students who will appear for CBSE 10th 2019 have to satisfy certain eligibility norms. CBSE class 10th eligibility criteria are mentioned below:
CBSE Class 10th eligibility for regular students: In case of a regular student, one must have cleared class IX and studied their 10th class from an institution affiliated to CBSE. They must obtain the required percentage of attendance in class 10 and submit the examination form with the requisite fee before the deadline. Candidates whose applications are accepted by the Board will be able to sit for the exam.
CBSE Class 10th eligibility for private candidates: The following categories of students shall be eligible to appear for the private exam of CBSE Class 10 Board:
Students having failed class 10 from state examination Board
Wards of teachers serving in educational institutions affiliated to CBSE
Female students who are bonafide residents of the NCT of Delhi who satisfy the following conditions:–
They have privately pursued the prescribed course of study
They are unable to join Class X affiliated to the board
Physically handicapped students who produce sufficient evidence of having difficulty in attending classes in a normal institution.
Note: A candidate who has not cleared Class IX shall not be permitted to appear CBSE class 10th 2019 as a private candidate in the consecutive year.
CBSE Class 10th 2019 Application Form
Regular candidates appearing for CBSE 10th will have to fill their examination form as instructed by the authorities of their respective schools. Private candidates will have to submit the application form for CBSE 10th along with prescribed fee and three copies of passport sized photographs. The application form will have to be submitted to the Regional Officer of CBSE of the state they are residing in. While filling CBSE 10th examination form, private candidates have to keep in mind the following particulars:
1. Regular candidates who did clear class IX from a recognised Board will not be allowed to appear for AISSE 2019 as private candidates.
2. Private candidates will not be allowed to appear for a subject which is not taught in CBSE affiliated institution.
Candidates should go through the exam pattern for CBSE class 10 exam so that they understand the marking scheme and weightage of each section of the question paper better. This will help them improve their time management skills and score better in the exam. As per CBSE class 10 exam pattern, the Board will conduct the class 10 theory exam of 80 marks for each subject. Rest of the 20 marks are kept aside for internal assessment (IA) comprising the following elements:
Periodic Tests (PT) of 10 marks each
Notebook Submission of 5 marks
Subject Enrichment Activities of 5 marks

CBSE will announce the result of CBSE 10th in the First week of May 2019. In the previous years Board exam, it was released on May 29, 2018. AISSE result 2019 will be released online and will consist of information such as candidate’s name, roll number, total marks, subject-wise marks and grades along with the qualifying status of candidates. This online result is provisional and original mark sheets will be provided to students soon after by the Board. The step-wise procedure to check CBSE 10th result 2019 has been provided below:

CBSE Class 10th 2019 – Passing Marks and Grading System
To qualify in CBSE class 10th 2019, students have to score a minimum of 33% separately in the theory papers and practicals. CBSE follows the following criteria while awarding grades to candidates:

In case students are not satisfied with their marks or have doubts regarding the same, they can apply for verification of marks, obtaining a photocopy of evaluated answer book or revaluation of evaluated answer sheets. The application number received after submission of the form and exam roll number will be required to check the application status. The details have been provided below:
Application for verification of Marks – Candidates can apply for verification of marks online along with a fee of Rs. 500 per subject. The fee has to be paid online via debit/credit card or net banking. The result will be uploaded online. In case of any changes, the Board will send a formal letter to applicant via speed post through concerned Regional Office of CBSE.
Application for obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book - Students having applied for verification of marks with requisite fee shall be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer sheets. This request has to be submitted along with a fee of Rs. 500, to be paid online via net banking or debit/credit card. Photocopies of CBSE class 10th 2019 answer sheets will be provided to students but all information related to the identity of the examiner/ evaluator/ any other official associated with the examination will be concealed.
Application for revaluation of evaluated answer sheets – Only candidates who have obtained photocopy of evaluated answer script will be able to apply for revaluation. Challenges against marks awarded to students will only be accepted only for theory papers along with valid reason and fee of Rs. 100 per question (online payment via net banking, debit/ credit card). The subject-wise question papers along with their marking schemes will be published online in CBSE’s website for reference. Statement regarding changes, if any, shall be issued to candidates after they surrender the old marks statement. The status of this application will be available online and will also be sent to the candidate in the form of a formal letter via speed post.
